& FEELING GOOD
Anton is a Fitness and Sports Performance Specialist with a focused dedication to Physical and Mental Health, Human Performance, Athletic Development, Martial Arts and Sports Physical Therapy. He joins us with a wealth of international experience, specialising in strength and conditioning for combat sport athletes. His physical therapy background and performance based results help clients prepare and achieve their optimal body and psychological potential.
Anton loves the change in seasons because it is a wonderful time to review exercise plans and try something new. His motto, which he calls the 5P Rule is, “PROPER PREPARATION PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE.” With this in mind, we asked him to provide us with his top 4 Seasonal Reset tips based on his athletic and coaching background. We hope you feel as inspired as we did whilst interviewing him.
- Mental & Physical Recovery
Important for reducing the stress of changes that come with the new season and with any new fitness programmes you are about to embark on, as well as helping you mentally plan for the next phase. It provides balance and structure to be flexible, whilst giving time to recover in preparation.
- Meditation & Body Treatments
- Mobility & Flexibility Training
- Intermittent Fasting
- Travel (change of environment is beneficial in preparation for a new routine)
Find the time to work on the things you have learned to continue performance enhancement and enrich knowledge from previous seasons.
This can be achieved through:
- New Courses
- Skill Development
- Habits & Behaviour Improvement
Every 8-12 weeks it’s effective to reassess with your coach/practitioner and make new workout schedules for the next period. In this way you can continuously and safely expand and enhance your performance.
Utilise the below options to achieve this:
- Training & Nutrition Planning
- Physical Tests & Assessments
- Being of Service
This tip is about the connection of mental wellbeing to physical health. By being of service you are charging yourself with positive energy, in turn impacting your mind set and motivational levels, as well as doing good for others.
Be generous and giving through:
- Events & Donations
- Practising Gratitude
