November 23, 2021 THE HEALTH PODCAST #31 – The Making of a Champion – Denise Lewis, OBE

In this week’s episode, we are delighted to introduce sporting legend, Denise Lewis. Denise is a former Olympian who notably achieved gold in heptathlon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Not only is Denise a two time Commonwealth Games champion and the 1998 European Champion, she also won silver medals in the 1997 and 1999 World Championships. After retiring from track and field in 2005, Denise was inducted into the UK Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011.

In addition to Denise’s sporting achievements, she was honoured as Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2001 New Year Honours. Denise is now a sports presenter and personality, as well as President of Commonwealth Games England.
